The Musuem of Rural Life( I think that's it's name, however it me Museum of Welsh Life ) situated in a gorgeous village called St Fagan's just outside Cardiff.
At the museum you will discover many buildings which have been demolished ( from all areas of Wales ), during the painstaking demolition every stone, rafter etc are numbered, they are then transported to the museum and re-constructed.
The exhibits include such buildings as, a tannery, working woollen mill, co** fighting pit, forge, chapel, school, a farm, lots of different cottages, a bakery, a general store, a water mill, a saddlery and a post office. You can actually go inside these buidings and they are all furnished from the period that they come from. The museum is set in the grounds of St Fagan's Caslte, the gardens are fantastic, with carp filled lakes and greenhouses with vines laden with grapes. There is also a modern museum block where you will discover all aspects of Welsh life. There is also a tea-room, restaurant and shop.
The place is a real "Must Visit" place and great for all ages. You should take a look at their web site where I am sure you will get a better description.
